Tatarstan innovators under the national project can receive grants of up to 8 million for the implementation of their projects

The acceptance of applications for competitions of the Start program from the Innovation Promotion Fund has started.  The program is implemented in order to fulfill the result of the federal project "Artificial Intelligence" of the national project "Digital Economy". Tatarstan citizens can receive grants for the implementation of their innovative developments.

Within the framework of competitions under the Start-AI program, the project must meet the criteria for determining belonging to projects in the field of artificial intelligence established by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Projects are being accepted in the following areas: computer vision, natural language processing, speech recognition and synthesis, intelligent decision support systems, promising artificial intelligence methods.

Individuals, micro and small enterprises can apply to participate in the Start-AI-1 program, while the grant amount will be up to 4 million rubles with a work period of 12 months.

Enterprises with the status of a micro or small enterprise in the Unified Register of SMEs can also apply for the Start-II-2 competition (those who have completed the Start-1, Start-II-1, Start-CT, Start-CP contests, as well as joint competitions with institutes development, with a project in the field of artificial intelligence and (or) using artificial intelligence technologies). The winning companies of the program will receive a grant of up to 8 million rubles, the work period will be 12/18 months.

Applications can be submitted by May 13, 2024.

In addition, applications for the Start-Up competition, aimed at supporting those who are ready to launch a startup based on their own innovative developments, continue to be accepted. The winner must register a legal entity and become its head within 30 days. The new company will own the intellectual property created under the grant. In the future, such a company will be able to obtain the status of a "small technology company" and access to preferential state support measures. Only individuals can participate, the grant amount is 3 million rubles, co-financing is not required, the work period is 8/12 months, applications can be submitted before May 20.
