The autonomous non-profit organization Agency for Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects, together with the Eurasian Economic Commission, has been holding the International Climate Competition "Green Eurasia" (hereinafter referred to as the Competition) since 2023.
The aim of the Competition is to find effective practices on climate mitigation and adaptation, as well as other climate practices aimed at the sustainable development of states.
In 2023, 296 applications were received for the competition, commercial organizations, government agencies, public and business associations, as well as residents of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter − the EAEU): the republics of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation became participants of the competition. In addition, applications were received from representatives of Latvia and the republics of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The number of practices submitted to the Competition confirms the fact that climate and environmental well-being continues to excite and unite residents of different countries.
