The draft law is determined by the amount of the subsistence minimum for pensioners in the country for the coming year in order to bring financial security of certain categories of pensioners receiving a pension below the subsistence level to its level, taking into account the federal social payments to the pension. The subsistence minimum for pensioners in 2014 to determine the size of the federal social payments to the pension proposed to be set at 5912 rubles, 1042 rubles above the subsistence minimum for pensioners, established by law in 2013 (4,870 rubles).. This value is calculated according to the new consumer basket and forecast the consumer price index, which includes the change in prices of basic foods that make up the consumer basket.
