Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 2140 dated 12/14/2023 "On Amendments to Certain Acts of the Government of the Russian Federation and Invalidation of a Separate Provision of the Act of the Government of the Russian Federation" extended the moratorium on scheduled inspections until the end of 2024.
An exception, as in 2023, will be made for facilities classified as extremely high and high risk (social, industrial facilities, certain types of activities with the maximum risk of harm), for inspections carried out by control authorities in case of a threat to the life and health of citizens, the security of the country, as well as on based on indicators of the risk of violation of mandatory requirements.
The effectiveness of the moratorium is confirmed by statistics: in Russia, the number of inspections decreased by 5 times compared to 2019, in the Republic of Tatarstan, the number of inspections decreased by 4 times.
The decision taken is part of the reform of control and supervisory activities, which the Government is implementing as part of the instructions of the head of state.
These measures make it possible to avoid a significant increase in inspections, which can seriously reduce the administrative burden on a large number of small businesses.
