The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Mufti of Tatarstan discussed the implementation plan of the experiment on partner financing
Deputy Prime Minister RT - RT Minister of Economy Midhat Shagiakhmetov visited the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan and met with Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil hazrat Samigullin, Deputy Mufti for Education, Rector of RII and KIU Rafik hazrat Mukhammetshin and Academic Secretary The Council of Ulema of the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan, by the Vice-rector of the RIA Rustam Hazrat Nurgaliyev.
The meeting was held on the topic of the action plan for the implementation of the experiment on partner financing. Let us recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on conducting an experiment in implementing an experiment on partner financing in Tatarstan, Dagestan, Chechnya and Bashkortostan in the Russian Federation from September 1, 2023 to September 1, 2025. The leaders discussed the opportunities and potential of Tatarstan in this area, as well as current problems that need to be solved for the successful conduct of the experiment, including mechanisms for interaction between various institutions, training, etc.
First of all, Midhat Rafkatovich stressed the important role of the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan. He also highly appreciated the practical achievements of the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of partner financing. Kamil Hazrat told him about 8 developed banking products and the successful level of Tatarstan's personnel readiness for the introduction of partner financing in Russia. The Mufti drew the Minister's attention to the fact that the Council of Ulema of the Duma of the Republic of Tatarstan is the main expert body on partner finance in Russia and is in close professional contacts with specialists from Chechnya, Dagestan and Bashkortostan. Hazrat recalled that 8 specialists certified by AAOIFI, an institution for the development of accounting, auditing, management, ethics and Sharia standards for Islamic financial organizations in Bahrain, work in the system of the DOOM of the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition, the Russian Center for Islamic Economics and Finance operates within the walls of the RIA, and advanced training courses for financial specialists are also held.
In turn, the Minister focused attention on the need to inform the general public and the importance of the adopted law and the experiment on partner finance and benefits for ordinary citizens, as well as on improving the financial literacy of the population in the field of halal financing.
The leaders exchanged proposals for further cooperation.
