The winners of the competition for grants to NGOs implementing socially significant projects in the territory of Tatarstan have been determined

The Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Republican Commission on holding a competition for grants to non-profit organizations implementing socially significant projects on the territory of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held by Zilya Valeeva, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republican Competition Commission.

Opening the meeting, Zilya Valeeva stressed the importance of the competition: "This competition was aimed at supporting civil initiatives on the territory of municipalities of the republic. It is noteworthy that among the participants and winners of the competition there were areas that were previously less active."

According to the secretary of the Republican Commission, the head of the Republican Resource Center for the Support of SONKO Zulfiya Safina, 344 applications of NGOs from 45 municipalities have been submitted and registered for the competition for grants to non-profit organizations implementing socially significant projects on the territory of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the results of the inspection of the participants of the competition on formal grounds, the expert commission rejected 33 applications that did not meet the established requirements. Thus, 311 applications of NGOs took part in the competition. By the decision of the Republican Competition Commission, 80 NGOs were recognized as winners of the competition.

The members of the Republican Commission were also provided with information on the progress of the Republican competition for grants of the Republic of Tatarstan for the development of civil society in 2023. Currently, more than 100 applications from 33 municipalities and 14 subjects of the Russian Federation have been submitted for participation in the competition. Applications for the competition can be submitted inclusive until July 23. The competition is traditionally held on the platform of the Automatic information system "Grant Competition" (AIS grantytatarstan.RF).
