Midhat Shagiakhmetov spoke about the results of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum
A briefing was held in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, where the results of the participation of the delegation of Tatarstan headed by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov in the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2023) were discussed. The main speaker of the briefing was Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov. He spoke about the work of the delegation of Tatarstan, the results of the republic in the National Ranking of the subjects of the Russian Federation.
The main theme of the forum this year is "Sovereign development is the basis for a just world. Let's join forces for the sake of future generations." Within the framework of the forum, meetings were held with the heads of the constituent entities of Russia, representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, large Russian companies, credit organizations, and foreign partners. Agreements on cooperation have been reached, a number of agreements have been signed.
"Such international platforms as the St. Petersburg Economic Forum and Kazanforum confirm that despite the sanctions, the economy of the country and the republic is developing," Midhat Shagiakhmetov said.
Within the framework of the forum, a separate session was devoted to unmanned transport, in addition, the development of international cooperation, export of SME products, Islamic finance and other topics were discussed.
One of the main events of the forum has traditionally been the announcement of the results of the National Rating of the investment climate. Tatarstan confirmed its leading position, taking second place in the ranking among the regions of Russia. The calculation is carried out according to 67 indicators in such areas as the regulatory environment, institutions for business, infrastructure and resources, support for small businesses.
"The integral rating index showed a significant positive trend - an increase of 16 points. According to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, only two regions exceeded the 300-point bar in aggregate results - these are Moscow and Tatarstan. According to 50 indicators (75%), the Republic is in the leading groups," the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan said.
As a positive trend, the head of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Svetlana Chupsheva noted that in Tatarstan the terms for obtaining construction permits, for registration of property rights have been reduced, the terms for connecting to the power grid have been reduced. In addition, satisfaction with the quality and availability of financial support is growing, Tatarstan is a leader in the direction of "Support for small and medium-sized businesses".
The Minister of Economy noted that the work aimed at improving the investment attractiveness in the republic continues. Thus, active work continues to reduce administrative pressure on business - Tatarstan took 2nd place in the rating of the country's subjects in this area.
Let us recall that the 26th St. Petersburg Economic Forum was held on June 14-17, 17 thousand people from 130 countries took part in it.
