The top 3 regions in terms of preferential investment lending in the first quarter of 2023 under the program are headed by the Novosibirsk Region, the Republic of Tatarstan and Moscow. In these regions, SMEs received financial support for 2.55 billion, 1.79 billion and 1.75 billion rubles, respectively.
In the first quarter of 2023, more than 330 small and medium-sized businesses became recipients of preferential loans for investment purposes at 2.5 and 4% per annum under the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship", which was initiated by the President and overseen by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov. The total amount of borrowed funds issued for three months amounted to 20.3 billion rubles.
Access to preferential loans should stimulate the development of SMEs in priority industries focused on ensuring growing domestic demand, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation noted Maxim Reshetnikov at a meeting of the Government Commission on the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses chaired by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. These industries include processing, IT, engineering centers, small technology companies, and tourism. Skilled jobs are concentrated in these areas, and companies are focused on increasing investments and increasing labor productivity.
The largest volume of issuance of preferential loans under the program of preferential investment loans at 2.5 and 4% per annum was recorded in the first quarter in manufacturing: 9.4 billion rubles, which were received by 212 SMEs. In the field of transportation and storage, 76 entrepreneurs attracted 7 billion rubles, in the hotel business these figures amounted to 3.8 billion rubles and 43 recipients of financial support.
The program of preferential lending for investment purposes was launched in August 2022. A loan of 50 million rubles at 2.5% per annum for medium-sized businesses and 4% per annum for small and microenterprises can be obtained from 49 banks. Their full list is available on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the SME Corporation. Preferential rates are valid for five years, and the loan itself can be repaid within 10 years. The program is implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship".
