Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov took part in the celebration of Victory Day in Nizhnekamsk. The Head of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulated veterans and residents of Nizhnekamsk on the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"On this national holiday, we bow before the feat of the multinational Soviet people, who gave peaceful life and freedom to future generations," he said.
In Nizhnekamsk, the main celebrations on the occasion of May 9 were organized on the territory of the Victory Monument. A festive thematic prologue "Waltz leading to Victory" was held on Victory Square, the holiday continued with a solemn rally.
After that, the memory of those who died during the war was honored with a minute of silence and a triple volley of military weapons. 78 pigeons were released into the sky as a symbol of memory and eternal gratitude of descendants. After that, flowers were laid at the foot of the Victory Monument and at the monument to home front workers and children of war.
Then the brightest part of the holiday began – the Victory Parade. Before the release of the banner group, in which cadets carried the flags of Russia, Tatarstan, Nizhnekamsk and a copy of the Victory Banner, preschoolers performed in front of the guests of the holiday. Kids in military uniforms marched on the parade ground, marking the connection of generations. After that, cadets, schoolchildren and students passed in front of the honored guests.
The celebration was also attended by the head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, the Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Ramil Mullin, WWII veterans, Nizhnekamsk residents.
