A meeting of the Interagency Working Group for the preparation and adaptation of sectors of the economy and the social sphere to the conditions of membership of the Russian Federation to the WTO

In August 16, 2013 at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held meeting of the Interagency Working Group for the preparation and adaptation of national economy and social development of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation for membership in the World Trade Organization. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation with federal authorities in the development of new forms of support for industrial enterprises and work on the development of protective measures in the WTO, taking into account issues raised by republican petrochemical and automotive systems. The results of the work on the analysis of changes in the situation in the agricultural sector in the WTO and the interaction with the federal government to develop the necessary tools to support agricultural producers, as well as work to implement the action plan for adaptation sectors of economy and social sphere of the Republic of Tatarstan to the economic conditions in the framework of the World Trade Organization and Customs Union in 2013. Thus, according to the plan, the line ministry should provide substantial assistance to businesses in revealing the facts of unfair imports. In the preparation of materials for submission to the Unified Economic Commission requires such information, which may be obtained at the organization of a system for monitoring certain groups of sensitive products in the field of jurisdiction. Monitoring should be directed primarily at assessing the impact of imports on the state of individual industries, companies and, ultimately, to a speedy introduction of protective measures.
As part of the program, the Minister visited the Arsky Industrial Park, where he got acquainted with the current activities and long-term plans of the residents. During the inspection of the production facilities, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov held a substantive discussion with the heads of enterprises on capacity expansion and improving the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
Applications for the Start-Digital Technologies-1 competition (turn 2) are being accepted on the website of the Innovation Promotion Foundation until February 24. Individuals and legal entities, small business entities, can participate in it.
Rustem Mukhamedshin, Director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a large–scale event - the strategic session of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on January 30, 2026 in Kazan at the Entrepreneur's House.
