"Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan" State Institution together with the Institute of the General Plan of Moscow has begun to develop a master plan of the Kazan agglomeration. Its territory includes the following municipalities – Kazan, Verkhneuslonsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Pestrechinsky, Laishevsky, municipal districts and others. The strategic document will be prepared by the end of 2023. Within the framework of the current project, the collection of proposals, wishes and ideas from residents of these territories has started.
Anyone can leave their suggestions for the development of the agglomeration on the interactive map "Kazan-2050" at the link: Kazan2050.rf. Further, this information will be analyzed by specialists during the development of the master plan.
"Kazan is changing every day, but its unique appearance, culture, history, traditions remain unchanged. At the same time, the spatial and socio-economic development of the Kazan agglomeration can be even more successful. A document such as a master plan is designed to help in this. The developers are waiting for the active participation of residents to solve this large-scale task and invite them to a meaningful dialogue. This is necessary to find out about the most important and priority requests of citizens, and then take them into account in the final document," said Oleg Grigoriev, Director of the Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On the website Kazan2050.rf, you can not only leave your suggestions for the development of the agglomeration, but also find out what other residents offer. For a simpler orientation, the interactive map shows several categories that may include certain ideas and proposals: transport infrastructure, public spaces, residential buildings, nature and ecology, historical heritage, etc. If the idea does not fit any of these categories, then you can write about it in the "Other" tab.
The sociological survey will take place within a month from the moment of its launch and will end on May 15, 2023.
