Tatarstan has become a leader in the number of applications submitted for the Student Startup Foundation competition

On April 3, the Innovation Promotion Foundation completed accepting applications for the Student Startup competition. More than 4 thousand applications were submitted, 2 times more than a year earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said. Tatarstan became the leader in the number of applications submitted – students of the republic sent almost 1.5 thousand applications.
 
1.5 thousand students from all over the country will be able to receive support in the amount of 1 million rubles in 2023. According to the terms of the competition, the winners will have to register a legal entity, develop a business plan and create a startup website."

The program participants were selected in seven thematic areas: digital technologies, medicine and health-saving technologies, chemical technologies and new materials, new devices and intelligent production technologies, biotechnologies, resource-saving energy and creative industries.

The Innovation Assistance Fund is the operator of grant support measures within the framework of the federal project "Digital Technologies" of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation".

We remind you that as part of the implementation of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship" on the basis of the Center "My Business" of the Republic of Tatarstan, a regional representative office of the Innovation Assistance Fund was opened in 2022.  The

My Business Center carries out the overall integration of the implementation process of each specific project-winner of the Student Startup competition with enterprises, universities, ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan for further commercialization of technological projects.


The Center also grows finalist students of the Student Startup program into technological enterprises through training and mentoring from experts of technological entrepreneurship.
