The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov.

Midhat Shagiakhmetov informed about the socio-economic indicators of the republic for 2022 and reported on the state of affairs in the economy of the district. Thus, in the rating of socio-economic development of municipalities of the republic for 2022, the district occupies the 10th place. The volume of the GTP of the Pestrechinsky district in 2022 is estimated at about 22 billion rubles.

An important contribution to the development of the district is made by the agricultural sector, which accounts for 25.3% of the structure of the economy. The volume of gross agricultural output in 2022 increased by 11.3%. The Minister of Economy noted that the Pestrechinsky district ranks 15th in the final rating of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the structure of the district's economy, industry occupies 11.9%. By the end of 2022, the IPP was 103.4%. Goods of own production in the amount of 5 billion rubles were shipped.

This year, new investments were also attracted to the district: the industrial park "Zvanka" was opened, a coworking for 12 jobs, 2 gas stations. An asphalt concrete plant is being built in the village of Kulaevo. Production of construction materials and tools, storage facilities will soon be launched in Koshchakovo.

The district is part of the Kazan agglomeration and has an advantageous geographical location. Housing is being built at a high rate here and the population is growing. Along with the advantages, the problems of the suburban area, characteristic of agglomeration processes, are also inherent.

One of the priorities of local governments is to support small and medium-sized businesses. In general, there is a positive trend in the indicators of SME activity in the district - in terms of the number of people employed in the SME sector, the district is on the 13th place, in terms of the number of SMEs – on the 7th place.

"The district needs to continue the development of territories through the mechanism of creating industrial parks, using all state support measures available in the republic," the minister said.

Midhat Shagiakhmetov also outlined the main task for 2023. This is an increase in the gross territorial product.
