The republican contest "The best TSG of the year of the Republic of Tatarstan" has been announced

The annual republican contest "The Best Territorial Self-Government of the Year of the Republic of Tatarstan", held by the Association of the Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, has started in the republic. According to the results of the competition, 120 best TSG will be determined, and will be able to receive grants to improve the quality of life of residents of the district - landscaping, installation of playgrounds and sports grounds, etc.   

In accordance with the Regulations on the republican contest "The Best territorial Self-government of the Year of the Republic of Tatarstan", approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated June 1, 2015 No. 391 and the decision of the Presidium of the Association "Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan" dated December 28, 2022 No. PR-73-1, the republican contest "The Best territorial Self-Government of the Year of the Republic of Tatarstan" (hereinafter - the Contest).

The competition is held in 2 stages, within which the work of the TSG for 2022 is evaluated.

The first stage - municipal - is carried out by municipal competition commissions. The deadline for accepting applications is from January 16 to 27, 2023.

Stage II - republican - is conducted by the competition commission for the competition. The deadline for accepting applications is from February 6 to February 17, 2023.

For reference: Territorial self-government (TSG) is the self-organization of citizens at their place of residence in part of the territory of the settlement. The purpose of creating a territorial self-government is the independent and responsible implementation of citizens' own initiatives on issues of local importance. To date, 459 TSGs have been created in the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Grants are allocated from the republican budget based on the evaluation of the results of their work according to criteria such as consideration of citizens' appeals, holding sports and cultural events, support for socially vulnerable categories of citizens, improvement and security of the territories of TSG activities, as well as coverage of their activities in the media.
