In the regions of Russia, grants continue to be issued to entrepreneurs under the age of 25 to create or develop their business. The leaders in issuance at the moment are the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod regions and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
“The grant program opens the door to entrepreneurship for those who find it most difficult to start their own business on their own - these are social and young entrepreneurs, whose enterprises will bring the greatest social effect. This year, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has already issued them more than 2,500 grants worth about 1 billion rubles, including more than 1,000 grants for youth under 25 years old. For comparison, last year 2,298 grants worth less than 1 billion rubles were issued,” said Tatyana Ilyushnikova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
She noted that as of November 1, more than 7,000 young and social entrepreneurs have been supported by various measures. In Tatarstan, 129 business projects were submitted for consideration by the competition commission. According to the results of the project evaluation, 47 million rubles of grant support will be received by young and social entrepreneurs of Tatarstan.
The maximum grant amount is 500 thousand rubles. Young entrepreneurs can use these funds to purchase equipment, office equipment, software, raw materials, pay rent, the first installment of a franchise, promote the project in the media, and so on.
Also throughout the year, the Ministry of Economy of the region conducted training on the development of social and youth entrepreneurship with the involvement of experienced mentors and specialists. The result of the training programs was the inclusion of socially oriented businesses of the republic in the list of social enterprises and the registration of more than 60 new SMEs.
Grant support for young entrepreneurs is carried out within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives", which is supervised by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov.
