"School business start": 600 fresh business ideas

As part of the "School Business Start" project in Tatarstan, the practical training "Business Design" was completed. It was held in several cities at once: Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk and Almetyevsk. 600 schoolchildren of Tatarstan participated in the training.

At the three-day intensive course, schoolchildren received in-depth training in theoretical and practical business skills through lectures, master classes, trainings and expert sessions. According to one of the business trainers, chairman of the Youth Parliament of the Republic of Tatarstan Nina Shimina, the emphasis was placed on practical exercises.

In addition, the children analyzed and adopted the experience of their competitors, thought out a PR campaign, and, as a result, created a business plan and a presentation of their “product”.

The topics of pricing and prime cost were especially difficult for children. But thanks to the sensitive guidance of the curators at the presentation to expert entrepreneurs, it was easy to calculate the estimate of the project being presented.

It should be noted that the guys were selected from 12 thousand students who participated in the previous stage of the "School Business Start" - a business game. 600 of the most interested students and their teachers were offered practical training.

Project manager Elena Tikhonova said that for the School Business Start project team, the most important thing is to keep the children interested in business design for a long time. And most importantly, to connect as many children of the republic as possible to the program.

She said that the guys are already implementing their own business projects, and soon they will be able to offer their products at a charity school fair. It is also planned to hold a championship of business cases. The event will take place in December this year.

The final gathering of school business companies is scheduled for April 2023. It will be attended by 40 teams, in which 120 students will compete. All of them will have a unique experience.

Recall that the School Business Start program is being implemented as part of the National Project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives." The organizers of the School Business Start project were the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
