Tatarstan will allocate additional funding for the implementation of the national project "Ecology"

According to the Ministry of Economy, within the framework of the national project "Ecology" in the Republic of Tatarstan, additional funding will be allocated for the implementation of measures to eliminate objects of accumulated environmental damage that pose a threat to the Volga River.

The government will finance additional measures to isolate and eliminate 15 sources of pollution as part of the Volga Improvement federal project. Changes to the state program of the Russian Federation "Environmental Protection" were approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 20, 2022 No. 907.

Works are planned on the territory of 7 subjects of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Chuvashia, Astrakhan, Ivanovo, Samara, Ulyanovsk and Yaroslavl regions.

In Tatarstan, the inactive pipelines of the Ozernoye field in the water area of ​​the Nizhnekamsk reservoir will be dismantled. The implementation of the event is planned for 2022-2023.

Recall that the federal project "Improvement of the Volga" has been implemented since 2018. Its main goal is to improve the ecological state of the Volga by clearing the banks of debris, building new wastewater treatment facilities, and reconstructing hydraulic structures.

This year, in the Republic of Tatarstan, within the framework of the regional project "Improvement of the Volga", work continues on the reconstruction of biological treatment facilities, as well as the reclamation of silt fields in Kazan. More than 5 billion rubles will be allocated for these activities.
