Midkhat Shagiakhmetov: the well-being of the republic depends on an efficient economy
On February 8, the final meeting of the Council of the Drozhzhanovsky municipal district was held, within the framework of which the results of the socio-economic development of the district in the past year were considered and plans for 2022 were outlined. Speaking at the reporting session of the district, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that in 2021 the republic, as well as the country as a whole, experienced economic growth, outlined the key reserves for the development of the region.
According to the results of 2021, the volume of the gross regional product exceeded 3.35 trillion rubles, an increase of 103.8% compared to the previous year. The economic growth of the republic, first of all, was ensured thanks to the petrochemical complex, mechanical engineering, energy, construction, etc. The task of 2022 is to maintain and consolidate the growth rate of the economy.
Midkhat Shagiakhmetov outlined the reserves for the growth of the economy of the Drozhzhanovsky district. So, in the ranking of socio-economic development of municipalities for 2021, the district ranks 33rd. According to the results, the volume of the VTP is estimated at the level of 7.4 billion rubles. According to a number of indicators per capita, the district is among the lagging behind: it ranks 45th in terms of average wages. Also, in the sphere of industry and investment in fixed capital, the indicators are lower than the level of similar regions.
The Minister stressed that the main contribution to the region's economy is made by agriculture - 61.3%. The use of moisture-saving and progressive technologies allowed the villagers, despite the drought in 2021, to harvest more than 2.3 million tons of grain. This made it possible to take 19th place among the districts in the field of agro-industrial complex. Positive trends in the agro-industrial complex are the result of the efficient work of agricultural enterprises, rural workers and well-coordinated teamwork.
Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that the share of SMEs in the economy of the Drozhzhanovsky district is 22%. Compared to last year, the number of small and medium-sized businesses in the region has increased, including due to the measures of state support for business being implemented in the republic.
The minister outlined the need for more active involvement of residents in the industrial park. The park's current occupancy rate is 44.8%. The priority task for 2022 is to fill the industrial park by 70%.
Also during the meeting, he touched on the topic of e-commerce. Midkhat Shagiakhmetov urged the region's entrepreneurs to actively use electronic platforms to expand the distribution channels for their products.
At the end of his speech, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov focused on social issues: work with youth, sports, education, medicine, coronavirus infection, noting the importance of vaccination and revaccination. He spoke about the implementation of federal projects and republican programs. He also thanked the residents of the Drozhzhanovsky district for their participation in the socio-political life of the republic.
During the visit, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, accompanied by the head of the region Marat Gafarov, visited the Drozhzhanoye industrial park, where he got acquainted with the activities of the residents. In addition, in the foyer of the district house of culture, he viewed an exhibition of products of local entrepreneurs and self-employed people.
