Midhat Shagiakhmetov: "The Forum of the self-employed is a popular support measure"
Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan-Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov together with Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Commission of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Support of Small and Medium-sized Businesses Ayrat Farrakhov solemnly opened the Forum of the Self-employed. They visited the fair, talked to the self-employed and purchased the products they liked.
On the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, a Forum of the Self-employed opened in Kazan. A fair was organized on Bauman Street, where the self-employed could sell their own products. About 70 participants from all over the republic, as well as guests from other regions of Russia, presented their products and services. In particular, at the fair you could see wood products, leather, porcelain dishes, designer jewelry, farm products, toys, home decor items. There were also master classes for children and adults.
The festival of the self-employed is being held for the third time, it is becoming traditional and in demand, both among the payers of the "Professional Income Tax" themselves and among the residents of the republic. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, opening the forum.
"Today we can say with confidence that the experiment of introducing a special tax regime – the tax on professional income, which was launched in 2019, is a success. In such a short time, more than 140 thousand Tatarstan citizens have been registered in the Republic of Tatarstan," the minister noted.
The organizers of the event, which takes place for the third year in a row, are the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican Center for Support of the Self-employed, the Mayor's Office of Kazan. The purpose of the forum is to inform about the complex of measures and measures to support business implemented in the republic, as well as to promote the products of the self-employed.
"Without exaggeration, some of the goods presented at the fair can be called works of art – this indicates that people are very active and creative here. The forum is also an opportunity to promote the products of our self-employed. Today is the Republic Day and the City Day, there are a lot of tourists, so there is an opportunity to show the beautiful goods that our self-employed produce. Even the communication of the self-employed among themselves pushes them to new ideas," the minister said.
The Minister of Economy noted that today the status of self-employed is gaining more and more popularity.
"The self-employed have the opportunity to legally produce products and generate their income. This allows us to see the potential of our people. During the entire period of the special tax regime, the total income of the self-employed in Tatarstan exceeded 29.9 billion rubles. We will continue to support and develop this institution and implement support measures," the minister added.
The self-employed have the opportunity to receive state support for the development of their business. Within the framework of the implementation of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative", it is planned to provide self-employed citizens with a range of financial, consulting and educational services. There are microfinance programs of up to 500 thousand rubles, a subsidy program of up to 200 thousand rubles is planned.
A rich festive program was organized at the fair. It includes a show of drummers, vocal and instrumental numbers.
Tomorrow, on August 31, a lecture hall will be held for the self-employed in the Entrepreneur's House (Petersburgskaya st., 28), where they can get new knowledge and skills.
