How accessible are financial services in Tatarstan?

Residents of the republic answered this question in the framework of the "Availability and quality of financial services to the population of the Republic Tatarstan" survey, which is initiated by the Department of the National Bank for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Volga-Vyatka Main Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and conducted by The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan from June to July of this year.

About 9 thousand residents from 45 municipal districts of the republic took part in the survey.

The results of the study show that in general, in Tatarstan, the level of accessibility and quality of financial services to the population is at a satisfactory level. 88.3% of respondents said that they do not experience difficulties in obtaining payment services. 97.4% of respondents have a payment card, including 69.4% of respondents regularly pay with it. 

"According to the survey results, the most popular financial services among Tatarstan residents are transfers from card to card (86.5%) and the fast payment system (46.3%). At the same time, about a third of respondents are interested in obtaining additional information on such financial products and services as CashOut, the Unified Biometric System (UBS) and the Bank of Russia's Marketplace project," said Marat Sharifullin, Manager of the National Bank for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Volga-Vyatka Government agency of the Bank of Russia.

Assessing the change in the availability of financial services in the locality over the past year, 46.7% of residents of the republic indicated that the level of accessibility has become better: it has become easier to make a payment, open a deposit, get a loan. 

The results obtained will be used in further work to ensure the availability and improve the quality of financial services.
