The volume of the gross regional product of the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 938.8 billion rubles

According to the results of January-April of this year, the volume of the gross regional product of the Republic of Tatarstan, according to Tatarstan Statistics, amounted to 938.8 billion rubles, or 100.4% in comparable prices to the level of the corresponding period last year.

The industrial production index was 101.6% compared to the level of January-April 2020, the volume of products shipped was 1 trillion 155.5 billion rubles.

In mining, the production index amounted to 92.9% compared to the level of January-April 2020. There is an increase in manufacturing industries – 106.6% compared to the level of January-April 2020, providing electricity, gas, steam; air conditioning – 108.9%, water supply; sanitation, waste collection and disposal, pollution elimination activities – 166.9%.

The main contribution to the growth of the manufacturing industry is made by chemical production and the machine-building complex. Strong growth also continued in the food industry and the woodworking industry. At the same time, there is a decline in oil refining.

In terms of industrial production, Tatarstan ranks 5th in the ranking among the subjects of the Russian Federation in January-April of this year, and 1st among the subjects of the Privolzhsky Federal District (hereinafter referred to as the PFD).

The volume of agricultural products in January-April amounted to 63.7 billion rubles, or 100.1% in comparable prices to the level of January-April 2020.

The growth was noted in the construction sector, as the volume of construction works amounted to 71.9 billion rubles, or 100.9% in comparable prices to the level of January-April 2020. 1 million 22.2 thousand square meters of housing were put into operation, or 108.9% compared to the level of January-April 2020.

It is worth noting that in terms of the volume of construction works and housing commissioning in the ranking among the subjects of the Russian Federation in January-April 2021, the republic ranks 6th and 5th, respectively, among the subjects of the PFD according to these indicators – 1st place.

There is a recovery in consumer activity. In terms of retail trade turnover in January-April 2021, the Republic of Tatarstan occupies the 7th place in the ranking among the subjects of the country and the leading position among the regions of the PFD. In January-April, the retail trade turnover amounted to 332.0 billion rubles, or 107.3% in comparable prices to the level of the corresponding period in 2020.

The consumer price index in April 2021 was 102.8% compared to December 2020, including 104.0% for food products, 102.7% for non-food products, and 101.4% for services.

The average monthly salary in the first quarter of 2021 in the republic amounted to 40.250.6 rubles and increased by 5.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2020.

There is a further stabilization of the situation in the labor market. As of May 1 of this year, the number of registered unemployed in the republic amounted to 23.5 thousand people, or 1.16% of the workforce (as of January 1, 2021 – 1.9%).
