Midhat Shagiakhmetov: The products of manufacturing facilities of the Zelenodolsky district are known in many countries of the world

The products of manufacturing facilities of the Zelenodolsky district are known in many countries of the world, primarily when it comes to refrigeration equipment and ships. Every third warship in the country is produced at the Zelenodolsky plant named after A.M. Gorky. This was stated by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov at the final session of the Zelenodolsky municipal district.
 
During the visit Midhat Shagiakhmetov visited "Soyuz", Kazan experimental design bureau. The company is part of the state corporation AO "Group company of Aerospace Defense "Almaz-Antey" and is engaged in the development, manufacture and testing of prototypes, as well as small-scale production of components of solid fuel rocket engines for ground-based, air-based and sea-based missile systems (complexes).
 
After that, the Minister visited the Zelenodolsky machine-building plant, where he got acquainted with the production of gas pumping units and centrifugal superchargers designed for transporting natural gas through main gas pipelines.
 
Speaking at the reporting session, Shagiakhmetov noted that the industrial production index for January 2021 amounted to 107.7% in Zelenodolsky district. A significant contribution to the positive dynamics was made by Posis, the Zelenodolsky plant named after A.M. Gorky and other production enterprises, whose products are in demand and widely known outside the republic.
 
The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan stressed that along with the highly developed industrial production, the district demonstrates good indicators in agriculture. About 10% of the district's gross territorial product is formed by agricultural enterprises. Agricultural producers of the district produced products worth 4.66 billion rubles last year, taking the 4th place in the final rating of the agro-industrial complex.
 
The district has a great potential in attracting investment. The list of priority investment projects of the republic for 2021 (investment memorandum) includes 8 projects implemented in the territory of Zelenodolsky district, with a total investment of 15 billion rubles and the creation of more than 1.500 jobs. In addition, in December 2020, agreements were signed on the protection and promotion of capital investments for projects implemented in the territory of the Zelenodolsky Municipal District, with a total investment of 30 billion rubles and the creation of more than 4 thousand jobs. The Sviyazhsk Multimodal Logistics Center should become a promising growth point.
