Within the framework of the national SME project, Tatarstan's self-employed citizens will be provided with additional support measures
Starting this year, a new regional project called "Creating favorable conditions for self-employed citizens" will be implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative". According to the project the self-employed will be provided with comprehensive support measures from the My Business center.
The new regional project provides for financial (issuance of microloans), property (leasing of republican and municipal property, coworking on preferential terms), information and consulting and educational (conducting trainings, seminars, master classes, forums, etc.) support measures, as well as programs to promote the products of self-employment tax payers (state and municipal orders, placement on electronic trading platforms, organization of participation in exhibition and fair events).
In 2020 a number of measures to support the self-employed citizens were implemented by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and subordinate institutions. Together with online retailers OZON and WILDBERRIES training webinars were conducted on the work, promotion and marketing support of products on electronic platforms. With the participation of the Self-Employed Support Center, the Second Forum of the Self-Employed citizens with the organization of a product exhibition was held in September. Besides, in the shopping center "MEGA" trade fair of goods produced by the self-employed was organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Factory of entrepreneurship together with subordinate institutions implemented "Start of the self-employed" training program, as a result of which the best graduates received a scholarship in the amount of 50 thousand rubles to start their own business.
In addition, a special microfinance product - "Self-employed" was launched. This product provides for the provision of a loan in the amount of up to 500 thousand rubles at a rate of 6% per annum for a period of 3 to 24 months. If necessary, self-employed citizens can use the guarantee of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today more than 100 thousand self-employed people are registered in the republic. During the period of the "Self-employment Tax" in the republic, Tatarstan self-employed people received income totaling 16.8 billion rubles.
