At the end of last year, the number of Tatarstan self-employed people exceeded the mark of 100 thousand - as of January 11, 2021, their number increased to 102,435 people. Along with the growth in the number of self-employed, their gross total income increased to 16.8 billion rubles.

At the same time, due to the active growth of this category of entrepreneurs over the 2 years of the special tax regime, the question of providing them with concessional financing and other support measures necessary for a comfortable and confident business arises.

So, starting from December 1, 2020, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan launched a "Self-employed" microloan. It is designed for individuals who are not individual entrepreneurs and apply a special tax regime – "Self-employment tax". For citizens who meet the requirements of the program, up to 500 thousand rubles are available at 6% per year for a period of 3 to 24 months for any expenses justified by the borrowers necessary to carry out activities, the income from which is subject to the "Self-employment tax". At the same time, the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan provides a warranty in the amount of up to 50% of the microloan money.

In addition, Tatarstan self-employed people can get information and consulting support in the "My Business" center and from the specialists of the "Proven Business" Internet resource. Consultation is available on all issues related to the mechanism of insurance premiums payment, the use of the application and the issue of checks for transactions, as well as conclusion of contracts with legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Measures to support the self-employed are implemented within the framework of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and Support for individual entrepreneurial Initiative".

This year, access to preferential financial instruments will be expanded for payers of the "Self-employment tax"; the number of training programs will be increased, and marketing support will be provided. The implementation of support measures will create favorable conditions for the involvement of even more citizens in the legal business environment.

Also, this tax regime in the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the alternatives to the UTII, which has ceased to operate throughout Russia, starting from January 1, 2021. An entrepreneur has the right to choose a "Self-employment tax" if he does not have employees and his activities are not related to the sale of goods, except for products of his own production.
