Haier invests more than 2 billion rubles in construction of a new TV factory and a logistics warehouse in Tatarstan

The construction of a new plant for the production of smart TVs and a warehouse for finished products of Haier in Naberezhnye Chelny of the Republic of Tatarstan will be completed in the second quarter of next year. The total investment in the project will amount to almost 2.2 billion rubles.

“The TV factory and finished product warehouse will be located in our Haier industrial park. It will be one building with an area of ​​64 thousand square meters. The volume of investments in the project will amount to almost 2.2 billion rubles”, explained Lyudmila Romanova, Haier's Business Development Director in Russia.

She added that at the first stage, the plant will produce 500,000 TVs a year. Their distinctive feature will be the presence of a modern smart TV technological platform and “frameless” design. In the future, after expanding production, the capacity will be doubled - up to 1 million per year. It should be reminded that there is already one plant for the production of Haier TVs in the Kama industrial park “Master” in Naberezhnye Chelny. By 2022, the total volume of both productions will reach 1.5 million units per year.

It should be noted that all operating and construction enterprises of Haier in Naberezhnye Chelny use the infrastructure of the Single-Industry Towns Development Fund. For example, a washing machine plant has been operating in the Haier industrial park since August last year. The volume of investments in the project amounted to 2.4 billion rubles. The Single-Industry Towns Development Fund allocated more than 218 million rubles for the construction of gas supply networks to the park. In KIP “Master” there are two more factories of the company - for the production of refrigerators and TV sets. The latter was also opened last summer. In 2016, the МОНОГОРОДА.РФ Fund allocated almost 574 million rubles for the construction of the road to the KIP “Master”.

In addition, since the start of the Haier investment project in Naberezhnye Chelny, tax revenues to the city budget have amounted to more than 607 million rubles.
