OZON started receiving goods from Tatarstan entrepreneurs and self-employed in the new sorting center

25 October 2019, Friday

On October 25, 2019, a test acceptance of goods from Tatarstan manufacturers took place in the new OZON sorting center on the Orenburg tract. The new center was opened specifically to expand operations related to attracting Tatarstan producers and self-employed to the company's marketplace.

For the first time in Russia, marketplace organizes a special logistics hub for the self-employed and entrepreneurs. The experience of opening such centers specifically for entrepreneurs will be replicated in other regions.

Now about 200 producers from the Republic of Tatarstan are registered on OZON, until recently they sent their goods to the Central logistics center of the company in Tver or to the hub in the Moscow region. With the opening of a new sorting center within the city, goods for the marketplace can be delivered there - and then they will travel to Kazan, other cities of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Volga region, as well as to other regions of Russia. Recall that OZON provides delivery of goods in 6 500 settlements of the Russian Federation, as well as in the CIS and foreign countries - from the United States to Japan and New Zealand.

The new sorting center with an area of about 2,000 square meters can handle up to 20,000 parcels per day, or 1.5 million units per month. Thus, it is able to accept goods from hundreds of producers.

Today, every fourth user OZON contains items of marketplace products partners form more than a third of the range site.

N"Today we are present at the opening of the OZON sorting center. Internet trade will radically change the situation in the market of Tatarstan and, first of all, the sorting center opened today will provide new markets for the self-employed, - said Minister of economy Farid Abdulganiev. - The marketplace is a "window" for entrepreneurs outside the region and outside the country. The entrepreneur concentrates on creating a quality product and expanding the range, and the marketplace takes on the task of attracting the audience and logistics. Now 9 out of 10 sellers in the regions are limited to their region or city due to the fact that logistics is too expensive and complicated."

To date, 39 thousand self-employed people, as well as 3 thousand 600 nonresidents, who indicated the Republic of Tatarstan as the region of their activity in the Appendix "My tax", are registered in Tatarstan. Moreover, 83% of all registered self-employed had not previously engaged in business legally and did not pay taxes.
