Cable cars maintenance engineers are planned to train on the basis of "Innopolis"

At a meeting with representatives of the Italian-Austrian financial and industrial group Leitner GmbH discussed the possibility of opening a project center in Verkhneuslonsky district of Tatarstan for training specialists in cable car maintenance.

The Ministry of economy of Tatarstan held a meeting with representatives of the Italian-Austrian financial and industrial group Leitner GmbH and The Russian direct investment Fund.

Foreign investors discussed direct investments in the transport infrastructure of the Republic, in particular, in the construction of cable cars "GTRK "Korston - "Kazan Arena" and "Kazan – Verkhniy Uslon". The launch of funiculars is included in the list of priority projects of the "Investment Memorandum" of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2019.

In addition, the partners discussed plans to open a project center of Leitner group in Verkhneuslonsky district of Tatarstan, the possibility of training specialists for the operation of automated cable cars in Russia and the CIS, localization of production of components and metal structures of supports in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as prospects for joint exports to the CIS and the Middle East.

"On the territory of the special economic zone "Innopolis " there are state measures to support innovative projects with the participation of leading world companies. Innopolis University trains engineers, which can be convenient for the work of the Leitner project center in Tatarstan," Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev said.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to implement projects on modernization and development of the Republican public transport infrastructure after an official visit to Turkey in April 2018. Then the delegation of Tatarstan was represented by the current passenger ropeway "Yenimahalle-Shentepe" in Ankara. The government of the Republic established an interdepartmental working group and approved a "road map" for the implementation of cable car construction projects in Tatarstan. Partners of the projects were Kazan's "R&D" Gulliver "( Kazan), working in the field of architecture and engineering research, and financial and industrial group Leitner-the leading manufacturer of cable cars in the world.
