Kazan authorities announced plans to make changes to the strategy of socio-economic development of the city until 2030. Particular adjustments are related to the synchronization of the document with the implementation of national projects. Taking into account the implementation of the "may decrees" in the document up to 80 years increases expected by 2030 life expectancy and up to 63% — the proportion of the population systematically engaged in physical culture and sports.

The strategy of Kazan was adopted in 2016, and for three years some values of indicators have already exceeded the planned figures. Thus, according to the results of 2018, GRP per capita amounted to 615.6 thousand rubles with a plan of 584.1 thousand rubles, life expectancy — 75.5 years with a plan of 74.15 years, the proportion of the population systematically engaged in physical culture and sports — 45% with a plan of 42%.

Earlier, deputy Minister of economy of Tatarstan Oleg Pelevin reported that in connection with the synchronization with the implementation of national projects in 2019, the law on amendments to the Republican Strategy-2030 was adopted. The changes to the Strategy have been  prepared through a multipartite dialogue involving a wide range of related parties living and working in Tatarstan.

There has been created a special website www.i.tatarstan2030.ru on which every resident of the country could leave its strategic initiative proposal. Since its launch, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has received more than 3.5 thousand initiatives. Most of the questions proposed by the population were included in the adopted law.
