Naberezhnye Chelny is among the best single-industry towns in Russia
A single-industry town in Tatarstan Naberezhnye Chelny entered the top-10 best towns of Russia following the results 2018.
The award was presented at the all-Russian forum-meeting on the development of single-industry towns of Russia, which opened today in Togliatti.
The rating was made by the Fund for the development of single-industry towns on the basis of an assessment of all 319 single-industry towns of the Russian Federation.
Top 10 helps to identify the strongest and most promising sides of single-industry towns-leaders, as well as to identify the most successful projects to improve the quality of life in single-industry towns.
"In the first ten of the city, having, according to our estimation, the greatest activity in its development with the maximum use of all available support measures, as well as the skills and knowledge that were obtained in the framework of the educational program, staffed a full team, focused on development", said the head of the fund "SINGLE-INDUSTRY TOWNS.RF", Deputy Chairman of WEB.RF Irina Makieva.
"Naberezhnye Chelny is in the top of the best single-industry towns of Russia for the third year in a row. We are grateful for high appreciation and full support to our initiatives", said the Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev.
The Minister reminded, that since 2015 within the framework of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Fund for the development of single-industry towns, road infrastructure in industrial zone, engineering infrastructure of the industrial Park "Razvitie" have been created and reconstructed in Naberezhnye Chelny. Khlebniy, Industrialniy, XXX and XXXI driveways have been reconstructed, networks for washing machine and kitchen equipment Haier are being built.
Since 2016, Tatarstan and the Fund have been implementing agreements on borrowing funds for the development of large investment projects in the city.
Thus, in August 2016, an agreement was signed between KIP Master JSC and the Fund on the allocation of borrowed funds in the amount of 898 million rubles at 5% annual interest for a period of 8 years for the construction of the sixth stage of the Kama industrial Park "Master". The provided support allowed "KIP "Master" in a short time to prepare an additional 171 thousand square meters of production space for lease to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
In June 2017, an agreement was signed between Kama-Trade Tatarstan LLC and the Fund on the allocation of borrowed funds in the amount of 216 million rubles at 5% per annum for a period of 7 years for the project to create a service metal center for EPS -cleaning in Naberezhnye Chelny.
This year, the Fund approved the application of JSC "Remdiesel" for a loan of 250 million rubles at 0% per annum for up to 15 years to create a production of special protected vehicles.
The top ten single-industry towns along with Naberezhnye Chelny included Pavlovsk (Voronezh region), Kotovsk (Tambov region), Tutaev (Yaroslavl region),Cherepovets (Vologda region), Gubkin (Belgorod region), Teykovo (Ivanovo region), Glazov (Udmurtia), Vyksa (Nizhny Novgorod region), Nevinnomyssk (Stavropol region).
