Logistics center OZON will be open in Zelenodolsk

The OZON investment project for construction of a logistics center on the territory of the Zelenodolsk industrial site was approved.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, held a working meeting with participation of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiyev, and the General Director of the OZON Internet company, Aleksandr Shulgin. During the working meeting, the parties agreed to develop a strategic program for development of the e-commerce market in Tatarstan. Also, the President of the Republic approved the OZON investment project for construction of a logistics center on the territory of the Zelenodolsk industrial site.

The strategic program for development of e-commerce market in Tatarstan based on the expertise and resources of OZON as one of the market leaders will be presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“For Tatarstan, the start of such a large-scale project together with OZON is, first of all, the creation of new conditions for Tatarstan manufacturers. Entrepreneurs of the republic will receive an additional modern sales channel. In addition, these are large investments, new jobs and expansion of the economic development potential of the region”, said the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiyev.

“Potential of the e-commerce market is huge, and the Republic of Tatarstan has always been a center of innovation, so it is here that we will not only invest in a logistics hub, but also actively develop the online sales ecosystem for the entire market. This will increase the availability of millions of goods for Tatarstan residents and provide a new development driver for local businesses”, said OZON General Director Aleksandr Shulgin.
