GRP of Tatarstan amounted to 2.44 trillion rubles in 2018
According to Tatarstanstat the gross regional product of the republic in 2018 amounted to 2.44 trillion rubles. The growth rate in comparable prices to the level of 2017 was 101.5%.
The main positive contribution to the economic dynamics was made by industry. The industrial production index was 102.0% of the 2017 level.
In mining, the production index was 102.1% compared to 2017, in the manufacturing industry - 100.3%, in the provision of electric energy, gas, steam; air conditioning - 120.8%, in water supply; wastewater disposal, organization of waste collection and disposal, pollution control activities - 107.6%.
Another factor in economic growth is the trade sector. The growth rate of retail trade turnover was 106.1% in comparable prices to the previous year, wholesale trade - 103.2%.
