Tatarstan is among the leading regions in terms of the volume of umbrella guarantees received

Tatarstan entered the top ten regions of Russia in terms of the number of affiliated "umbrella" guarantees of the SME Corporation. Since the beginning of the year, small and medium-sized businesses in the republic have amounted to 500 million rubles.

This is the seventh place among the regions of Russia. The first three positions were occupied by Moscow (3.66 billion rubles), St. Petersburg (1.89 billion rubles) and the Sverdlovsk Region (1.34 billion rubles).

In total, since the beginning of 2026, small and medium-sized businesses in priority sectors of the economy have acquired more than 18 billion rubles with the help of "umbrella" guarantees from the SME Corporation. The total amount of funds received by enterprises using this mechanism this year has already amounted to 50 billion rubles.

Umbrella guarantees help businesses obtain a loan from a bank in the absence or insufficiency of collateral with up to 50% of the amount of borrowed financing. The amount of one guarantee can reach 1 billion rubles for a period of up to 10 years.

The umbrella guarantee mechanism was launched on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation in 2021 and is being implemented as part of the federal project "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurship Initiatives" of the national project Effective and Competitive Economy.

In total, in 2026, as of mid-May, Tatarstan businesses received support in the amount of about 20 billion rubles, of which 18.4 billion rubles were federal and 1.2 billion rubles were republican.

Also this year, measures to support enterprises have been expanded in Tatarstan.

The average new and updated support measures are concessional financing of construction and reconstruction of buildings, a twofold increase in the limits of leasing support and changes in products for assistance to enterprises participating in a special military operation and members of the great family.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate organizations provide assistance to the republican business within the framework of the implementation of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
