Two cluster projects of Tatarstan were presented today in Moscow within the framework of the Meeting of the Commission for Competition for Industrial Clusters Support. Plans for the production of batteries of the company Bars Technology, OOO (Limited Liability Company) represented the Machine Building Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan. The interregional industrial cluster "Composites without borders", uniting Tatarstan, Moscow and Saratov regions, presented a project for the production of high-quality fiber by Alabuga-Volokno, OOO.
First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic - Director of the Department for Development of Entrepreneurship and Competition Rustem Sibgatullin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Timur Samatov, General Director of FarmMedPolic, OOO of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Gayfullin spoke in support of the projects.
The first project applies for a subsidy of 247.5 million rubles, the second - 497 million rubles. This is a non-refundable amount that goes directly to the enterprise. "When entering the republic, capital will provide an opportunity to create additional jobs and create an impetus for further expansion and modernization of production", the speakers from Tatarstan noted. They stressed that the project "Bars Technology" by 2020 will allow Tatarstan to become the leader in the Russian battery industry and take 15% of the country's market, and PAN-fiber can be produced with a capacity of 5000 tons per year.
Based on the results of the competitive selection, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will determine the best projects, after which subsidies will be granted to the clusters to cover up to 50% of the cost of implementing the cluster project.
