Farid Abdulganiev: "Tatarstan is consistently among the TOP 5 in the ranking of Russian regions on intellectual property"

"The most important condition for further innovative development of the republic is the commercialization of the results of intellectual activity", - Farid Abdulganiev said at the meeting with colleagues from other regions. It should be reminded that the delegation from Tatarstan takes an active part in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

Tatarstan is consistently in the TOP 5 regions in the rating of Russian regions on the performance in the field of intellectual property (the 4th place by the number of submitted patent applications, as well as by the number of issued patents for inventions and utility models, the 3rd place by the number of the used results of intellectual activity).

The patenting of industrial property objects in foreign countries, ensuring their legal protection when exporting the product, is an essential condition for successful promotion of products and services to the markets.

Last year, innovative enterprises and organizations of the republic were involved into subsidizing of a part of the costs of companies engaged in the registration of intellectual property objects in international markets in the framework of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No.1368 of December 15, 2016 "On subsidizing Russian producers for reimbursement of a part of costs associated with registration of intellectual property objects in international markets".

8 enterprises and organizations of Tatarstan received subsidies for reimbursement of a part of costs associated with registration of intellectual property objects in international markets totaling over RUR 2 million.

By the number of approved applications, Tatarstan took the third place after Moscow and St. Petersburg in 2017.
