Farid Abdulganiev: "One of the key tasks is to develop a high-tech sector and form long-term sources of economic growth"

"One of the key tasks of the economy of Tatarstan is to develop a high-tech sector that can become a basis for import substitution and form long-term sources of economic growth in the republic", - the Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev noted at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum today. He stressed that the Republic of Tatarstan was consistently following the path of innovative development implementing high technologies.

The Minister Abdulganiev reminded that Tatarstan for the third consecutive year holds the 1st place among the regions of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia and the 3rd place in the Russian Federation in the rating of innovative development of subjects of the Russian Federation.

The rating "Innovative business in regions of Russia" has been developed by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) together with the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) with the support of Interfax international information group and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia.
