Tatarstan is hosting the International Economic Forum KazanSummit

Kazan is hosting the X International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit". Over 3 thousand guests from over 50 countries are taking part in the summit.  The forum will last three days. The first International Economic Summit of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was held in Kazan in 2009, and since then it became the main platform for economic cooperation between the Russian regions and the Islamic countries. KazanSummit is organized with support of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and the government of Tatarstan. The forum is aimed at strengthening trade, economic, scientific, technological, social and cultural relationships between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. In 2017, KazanSummit was attended by 2.6 thousand representatives of international organizations, public authorities, financial institutions, embassies, parliaments, investors and businessmen from 53 countries of the world, and 250 media representatives.

It is planned that the summit will act as an effective platform for searching new clients and business partners, demonstration of investment potential and economic opportunities of the Russian regions. The key topic of KazanSummit 2018 will be "Halal lifestyle".

 The business program of KazanSummit 2018 will address such issues as Islamic finance and partnership banking, IT startups, block chain technology, promotion of the Russian exports to the Islamic countries, experience in implementing public-private partnership projects, social responsibility of the business, public diplomacy.
