The government of Russia has approved the strategy for the development of automotive industry until 2025

The government of the Russian Federation has approved the strategy for the development of automotive industry until 2025. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

The state document contains an analysis of the current condition of automotive industry, determines goals and aims for further development of this area, key performance indicators, provides an assessment of risks related to implementation of the strategy and ways to minimize them.

In particular, implementation of the strategy will allow to update the Russian motor vehicle fleet of all types and feature a new product line with high sales growth rate (40-50% per year for electric cars and self-driving trucks), increase amount of investment in the development of car and automotive components production in Russia.

The strategy will be implemented as part of the state programs "Development of industry and increasing its competitiveness", "Development of foreign economic activity" and other programs
