213 exporters in 2015, 251 in 2016 and 645 in 2017. Today, representatives of small and medium-sized exporting companies were presented at the Entrepreneur's House. First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Sibgatullin addressed journalists at the briefing. Today, export activities are seen as one of the most important factors for increasing sustainability and economic growth. One of the most serious tasks for the republic is to increase its exports, - the first deputy noted. - The republic is actively exporting goods, and Tatarstan for the third consecutive year is among the five largest exporters of Russia among all subjects of the Russian Federation".
In 2017, the biggest source of imports from Tatarstan were the CIS and European countries: Kazakhstan, Belarus, Hungary, Poland, India. Such increase in the number of exporters out of small and medium-sized enterprises was made possible also by the state support of export-oriented enterprises. Tatarstan is working systematically to assist companies in expanding to international markets by efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan Export Support Center is the main supporting institution for export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises. The Center renders comprehensive services to small and medium-sized enterprises at all stages of foreign economic activity in line with the one-stop-shop principle. The Center helps enterprises, already exporting goods, to expand the sales geography and find new markets where their products will be in demand.
Based on the results of a joint ranking of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and Russian Export Center JSC on the performance of regional Centers in 2017, the Republic of Tatarstan holds leading positions in the following areas:
- by the number of concluded contracts with foreign counterparts (159 contracts for RUR 533 million),
- by the number of SMEs, that have expanded to foreign markets (63 SMEs).
- by the number of countries of export (28 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Israel, India, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, China, South Korea, Latvia, People's Republic of Lugansk (Ukraine), Luxembourg, Moldova, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Switzerland).
The Center renders information, analytical, advisory and organizational support to entrepreneurs to promote products produced in Tatarstan on foreign markets. In 2017, the Center rendered support to over 700 enterprises. And already over 200 enterprises received support from the Center in the first quarter of this year.
