Tatarstan introduced two nanotechnology companies in Moscow

9 April 2018, Monday

The current state and development perspective of nanoindustry in Russia were discussed at the State Duma. Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO MC LLC Anatoly Chubais spoke about the main results of the first decade of construction of a modern nanoindustry in Russia and presented proposals on amending the legislative and normative framework to promote the development of renewable energy, to expand the investment sources to the industry of direct and venture funds, as well as proposals on amending the system of intellectual property rights. RUSNANO created 6 nanoindustry clusters in Russia, most of them didn't exist before: nanoelectronics and photonics, coating and surface modifications, new materials, innovative nanopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, solar energy. The foundations for the following new clusters have been laid: wind energy, processing of solid municipal waste into electricity, industrial energy storage, flexible electronics, nanomodified materials.

An exhibition of products produced by RUSNANO JSC portfolio companies and nanotechnological centers of the Fund for Infrastructure and Education Programs took place in the event. The participants explored products of over 30 nanotechnology companies in the sphere of energy, nanoelectronics and photonics, nanomodification of materials, nuclear medicine and pharmaceuticals. Two companies from Tatarstan, Danaflex-NANO and Advenira, and also Liotech-innovations (Novosibirsk) and Micron "Zelenograd" exhibited their products at the exhibition.

95 enterprises have been built in the country in the last 10 years. Their revenue for the decade equated to RUR 1.4 trillion. Among them, there are two enterprises from Tatarstan, which are present at the exhibition: a project of Danaflex-NANO on the production of flexible high-barrier packaging materials using nanotechnology, and Advenira - the world's first production of nanocomposite materials used to apply innovative coatings.

In addition to investment tasks, RUSNANO creates the new industry infrastructure. Infrastructural tasks are entrusted to the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIEP, a part of RUSNANO), which has created 11 nanocenters in 11 regions of Russia, and they, in turn, financed over 550 start-ups. 65 thousand students and specialists have been trained at the education programs organized by the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs.
