Deadlines for receipt of foreign passport service will be changed

By the corresponding order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 2496 of 11.11.2017, a draft federal law " On amending the article of the Federal Act on the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and the entry into the Russian Federation" has been submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The bill envisages reducing the time frame for formalization and issue of passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation, certifying his identity outside of Russia, including the electronic media, in case of application for its issue in the place of stay from four months to three months.

The adoption of the bill would improve comfort and accessibility for the citizens to obtain passports and reduce time costs.

The bill was discussed and approved at a meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 9, 2017.
