Amendments to the Law of the Russian Federation "On protection of consumers' rights" and the Federal Law "On public health and hygiene" have been prepared

The draft federal law "On amending the Law of the Russian Federation "On  protection of consumers' rights" and the Federal Law "On public health and hygiene" were submitted by the Government of the Russian Federation on September 18, 2017 in the State Duma.

We remind, that the Federal Law "On protection of the rights of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs in the exercise of state control (supervision) and municipal control" has been previously completed with a norm, envisaging the possibility of holding since January1, 2017 of the Year of Control Procurement, which is a monitoring exercise in which the state control body (supervision) acts to create a situation to carry out a transaction to verify compliance with legal Individuals, individual entrepreneurs with mandatory requirements for selling goods, execution of works, and providing services to consumers.

The bill suggests to introduce changes into application by the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service of control procurements under the federal state supervision in the area of consumers' rights protection and the federal public health and epidemiological supervision, in accordance with the procedure, established by the Federal Law "On  protection of the rights of legal persons and individual entepreneurs in the exercise of state control (supervision) or municipal control".

A responsible committee has been appointed in the State Duma - the State Duma Committee on economic policy, industry, innovation development and entrepreneurship.
