14 September 2017, Thursday

The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the first reading a bill directed at developing a legal framework for industrial techno parks.

The document, submitted by the group of deputies to the law "On industrial policy in the RF" introduces the notion "industrial techno park", which is understood as a set of infrastructure objects, intended for the production of previously not manufactured industrial products and/or having no analogues produced in Russia.

The bill also suggests to approve the order of application of  incentive measures in the field of industry, to determine the powers of the RF government to establish requirements for industrial techno-parks, their infrastructure and the management companies of industrial parks, as well as the powers of the authorized federal executive authority to confirm the conformity of the industrial park with such requirements.

The authors of the document consider, that these changes will help to modernize the industrial infrastructure and increase the number of industrial parks, which in turn will generate new high-tech production of competitive domestic products.
