On October 30, during his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Emir of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
Minnikhanov briefly presented the industrial and investment potential of the republic, its main economic projects and invited Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi to visit Tatarstan.
In his turn, emir of Ras Al Khaimah told Tatarstan President about the main areas of the development of the emirate and new promising projects.

On October 28, at a meeting at the Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov reported on the harvest of sugar beet in the republic and field works conducted for the next year. The harvest of sugar beet has made more than 3 mln tonnes, he informed.
According to Akhmetov, more than 500,000 hectares of winter crops have been sowed, and soil cultivation is underway. Thus, 1.8 mln of 2 mln hectares have been cultivated.

Moskovsky Prospekt is a 14-km long prospect and one of four main highways in Naberezhnye Chelny.
On October 27, speaking at a solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Saydashev State Big Concert Hall in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the adoption of the regional Constitution was a step towards protecting and regulating the social and economic rights of Tatarstan residents.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin took part in the event.
Speaking at the event, Minnikhanov stressed that forming the backbone of the regional statehood, the Constitution of Tatarstan facilitates the preservation and development of historical, national and spiritual traditions, cultures and languages, ensuring civil peace and inter-ethnic concord. Moreover, the constitutional law creates conditions for strengthening democracy, socio-economic development of the republic, preserving the historically formed unity of the peoples of the Russian Federation based on the principles of federalism.
With the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 1993, new approaches to the improvement of the legal basis of the statehood were formed, Tatarstan President said. The main document of the country played an important role in overcoming the turmoil in the state development, became the legal basis for the development of Russian society, defined the most important provisions for the interaction between the centre and constituent entities of the Federation and their development.
"For centuries, Russia has developed as a state with strong power, which unites territories and people. The overwhelming majority of Russians support the comprehensive strengthening of the country's power and its enhanced international standing. People firmly associate this strategic line with the personality and deeds of our national leader Vladimir Putin," Minnikhanov stressed.
On October 27, at the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibtion Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to Volga Federal District Alexey Sukhov, Chairman of Partiarch’s Council for Culture Bishop Tikhon (Georgiy Shevkunov), Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Feofan, Chairman of Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan Kamil Samugullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials took part in the opening of a multimedia historical park “Russia – My History”.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minnikhanov noted that the opening of the Kazan branch of the historical park "Russia - My History" is an important event in the life of the republic. Similar museum complexes are open in a number of regions of Russia and have already won wide public recognition, he stressed.
"To know and to respect the national history is one of the indicators of person's education and the basis of patriotism. Everyone who attends the museum exposition will be convinced that we live in a great country with an amazing history. One of the main advantages of the project is the demonstration of the inseparable unity of the history of Russia and its constituent republics, territories and regions,” Tatarstan President said.
He continued that the historical exhibition is primarily designed for the younger generation: "I am sure that this unique project will become an attraction point for people who are interested in the history of Tatarstan and Russia, a place for large-scale city, regional, educational and patriotic events, recreation and communication of the youth,” he noted.
Sukhov read out a welcome telegram on behalf of the Russian Presidential Administration. "It is symbolic that today, on the eve of the National Unity Day, the park “Russia - My History" opens in Kazan, which has played an important role in the formation of a united Russian nation and in bringing the peoples of Russia together," the telegram said.
On October 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 33rd session of the regional State Council of the fifth convocation held by Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin, members of the regional government and invited guests took part in the session.
There were 34 issues on the session’s agenda, including 13 draft regional laws and 14 draft federal laws and 2 legislative initiatives of legislative bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
On October 26, in the Government House of the republic, a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Tatneft Oil Company chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov considered the results of the budget execution for nine months of 2017 and approved the budget for November of the current year.
The Board was presented a forecast of the financial and economic activities of Tatnfet Oil Company for 2018, which was developed taking into account major parameters of a basic forecast of social and economic development of Russia.
On October 24, in San Francisco, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the launch of the Breakthrough Leadership educational programme for top managers of Tatarstan.
President of AmBar (American Business Association of Russian speaking professionals) Anna Dvornikova welcomed participants of the programme.
She also made a presentation of books by Charles O'Reilly "Lead and Disrupt" and Robert Burgelman "Becoming Hewlett Packard" translated into Russian and handed in autographed copies to Minnikhanov.
