Since January 1, 2014 shall come into force the Federal Law 05.04.2013 № 44-FZ "On the contract system in the procurement of goods, works and services for state and municipal needs". In order to implement this law the Republic of Tatarstan, 17 April 2013 defined a pilot region for the approbation of his individual equipment, in connection with which the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan prepared a "road map" for the implementation of this project. July 24, 2013 the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov took part in the meeting of the working group of the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation to monitor the achievement of the targets of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, determined by the President of the Russian Federation. The meeting took place at the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, chaired by the Assistant of the President of Russia Andrei Belousov. Participants of the meeting discussed the results of the socio-economic development, defined by the President of the Russian Federation, the implementation of instructions provided by the decrees of the President of the Russian Federation on May 7, 2012 № 596-606, as well as organizational issues.

July 10, 2013 at the Ministry held a meeting on the development of interactive passports municipalities within the module "Passport municipalities' information-analytical system" Socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan ".

The meeting was attended by representatives of national ministries and departments responsible for the provision of information on the performance of the module. To them have been trained on the technology of data entry into the system.

Online passport Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan is designed to represent complex information about the development of municipalities between consumers and includes a section Modelling (ratings) socio-economic development of the municipalities of the republic and the section forming an analytical note on the development of municipalities.

Online passport will ensure the collection, control and coordination of the primary information of state and local governments, as well as the harmonization of data.

July 10, 2013 at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting to discuss issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Hubei Province of China. The meeting was organized on the initiative of the People's Republic of China to establish the level of mutually beneficial regional cooperation in the field of investment, entrepreneurship and other joint areas. Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Deputy Minister Artem Zdunov noted that Belarus is a reliable and dynamically developing region and investment-attractive partner. Members of the delegation of Hubei Province have expressed interest in exporting to the Republic of Tatarstan, textile raw materials, equipment, clothing, and the implementation of investment projects in the pharmaceutical industry, import and export of cars and parts.
