The applications for the establishment of the Priority Social and Economic Development Areas (PSEDA) in the cities Zelenodolsk, Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk, submitted by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and executive committees of the relative single industry cities for consideration of the commission on issues of creating and operation of PSEDA in single industry cities, were approved by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tsybulsky, held the meeting of the Commission.
The Commission approved the creation of PSEDA in 11 single-industry cities.
These are the city of Zarinsk of the Altay Region, the city of Serdobsk of the Penza Region, the Kondopoga settlement of the Republic of Karelia, the city of Dalmatovo of the Kurgan Region, the city of Sayansk of the Irkutsk Region, the Kanashsky City District of the Republic of Chuvashia, the city settlement Pikalevo of the Leningrad Region, the city of Vyatskiye Polyany of the Kirov Region, Zelenodolsk, the cities Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The projects envisage the creation of at least 14,000 of permanent jobs within a period of 10 years and engagement of at least 170 residents to the Priority Social and Economic Development Area (PSEDA).
The creation of priority social and economic development areas allows to diversify the economy of single-industry cities and to reduce the dependence from core enterprises. Residents of PSEDA in single-industry cities enjoy a wide range of preferences. In particular, investors are provided with benefits in profit and property taxes, land tax and MET. In addition, contributions to extra-budgetary funds will be reduced by almost four times.
As of August 11, 2017 - 42 companies have been registered in the register of the PSEDA residents of single-industry cities, of which 11 companies have been registered in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
The materials, executed according to the results of the Commission meeting, will be sent to the Government. The final decision on establishing the PSEDA will be taken by the Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, who will sign the relevant Decree.
