Rustam Minnikhanov: The success of Tatarstan’s economy is being created by our people, specialists, engaged in all industries

The Republic of Tatarstan for the second year in a row has been occupying the first place in the National Rating for ensuring a favorable investment climate, and we will continue a task-oriented work for creating comfortable conditions for business activities, implementation of  best practices and application of the world’s experience. This was pronounced by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov during the joint meeting of the final collegium of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event took place on the platform of CSC CFU UNICS and was dedicated to the topic “Innovative development of enterprises as the basis for improving the competitiveness of Tatarstan’s economy".

In the beginning of his speech during the meeting Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov also took a favorable view of what he had seen on the exhibition of industrial enterprises, arranged in the hall of CSC UNICS. The following enterprises such as PJSC KAMAZ, PJSC Kazanorgsyntez, PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, LLC MC Tatneft-Neftekhim, JSC Ford Sellers, LLC TatkhimPlast , JSC Tatspirtprom, OJSC Kukmor plant of metal tableware, JSC KMIZ, MC KER-Holding, LLC IC Energoprogress, JSC Zelenodolsk plant named after A.Gorky, LLC Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry, CJSC ENICS, LLC Kama Crystall Technology and others were represented at the exhibition.

Today’s exhibition of products, manufactured by industrial enterprises, as well as what was presented by the Federal University of Kazan for supporting business – all this is a great work in part of manufacturing the import oriented goods, carried out by the work collectives. And we are truly grateful for their contribution in the economy, which enables Tatarstan to solve most of tasks, directed in the first instance for improving the quality of citizens’ life, - told Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to him, the main objective is to preserve the existing industrial potential of the republic.

If we fail in complying with modern criteria, we will not be able to preserve this industrial potential, - he said. The today’s republic is one of the most powerful industrially developed region of the country, with the scope of industrial production amounting to 1 trillion 966 bln RUB by the results of 2016. We have practically approached the level of two trillion RUB, and we also have a big potential in oil industry and other spheres.

In general, according to Mr. Rustam Minnikhaev the improvement of the life quality and growth of citizens’ welfare, stability in the region directly depend upon the level of economy.

Mr. Rustam Minnikhaev expressed his gratitude to representatives of all industrial enterprises, as well as to the management of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the RT, “who work in cooperation and use all possibilities, including participation in federal programs”. He also thanked the country’s management and the federal government for their support, without which Tatarstan could not achieve such success in economy and industry.
