The law on reform of local government is adopted

The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted on May 20, 2014 the law on reform of local government. The law provides modification of the Federal law of October 6, 2003 No. 131-FZ "About the general principles of the organization of local government in the Russian Federation".

The law fixed the list of questions of local value of the settlements, divided for city and rural settlements (which have to be under exclusive authority of municipalities).
