22 May 2026, Friday

Yesterday, a meeting of the working group of the operational headquarters for ensuring the sustainable development of the Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.

The meeting was attended by Maxim Topilin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on Economy, Investment and Entrepreneurship, the Executive Committee of Kazan and departments.

The participants of the meeting considered four priority areas of socio-economic development of the capital of Tatarstan.

In particular, a point-by-point adaptation of federal legislation for Kazan based on the Moscow experience is proposed, which will make it possible to implement innovative urban initiatives in a test mode, taking into account the specifics of the metropolis. Special attention is paid to the development of waterways: the resources of the Volga and Kazanka rivers are planned to be used to expand shipping, river tourism and create new business projects.

The meeting also noted an increase in the occupancy rate of the capital's industrial parks, which reached almost 93%, and the turnover of resident enterprises, which amounted to about 122 billion rubles.

In addition, measures are planned to inventory unused land plots with subsequent return to circulation and attract investors. The tasks of increasing labor productivity and reducing the cost of production at the city's enterprises to enhance their competitiveness were discussed separately.

Maxim Topilin emphasized the enormous importance of each of the directions for the development of the region's economy.

According to the results of the meeting, it was instructed to conduct a detailed analysis of the factors of financial stability of organizations and ensure work with enterprises on the platform of the Republican Marketing Center (RMC). All sectoral ministries should organize specific support for each organization in the sectors they supervise, with risk assessments carried out through balance sheet commissions.

Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that a meeting in a similar format is planned to be held in all major cities and municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

As a reminder, at a working group meeting held a week earlier, which was attended by State Duma Deputy Anatoly Ivanov, Naberezhnye Chelny Mayor Nail Magdeev, representatives of industry ministries of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Association of Enterprises and Industrialists of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, measures were considered to optimize the smooth operation of enterprises and organizations in Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as the organization of risk identification at enterprises and organizations and proposals for their resolution.

At the meeting, the management companies, together with the city authorities, were tasked with optimizing the activities of industrial park enterprises with the risks of collecting turnover and providing them with all possible support measures, including the resources of the RMC.

Based on these speeches of the speakers, long-range measures were outlined to organize the work of factors affecting the financial stability of supervised organizations, as well as to ensure control over the implementation of financial and economic indicators by organizations.

Based on the analysis of cooperative relations between commodity producers, the RMC allows businesses to participate in supplies for large enterprises, including import-substituting products. The center has been operating since May 5, 2019, and it provides Tatarstan enterprises with income from the supply of products received from the issuance of government orders, as well as promotes goods produced in the region.
