Midkhat Shagiakhmetov took part in the celebrations dedicated to Victory Day in Nizhnekamsk

On May 9, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov took part in events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Nizhnekamsk on the square opposite the Victory Monument. More than 700 schoolchildren and students, united in 31 platoons, took part in the festive event.

As part of the official program at the solemn meeting, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov addressed the audience with the address of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

Along with war veterans, home front workers, district leadership, and members of the public, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov laid flowers at the monument to Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil and at the future memorial complex dedicated to the participants of the special military operation. After the official parade, flowers were laid at the Eternal Flame and at the monument to the home front worker.

“There are 198 respected veterans in Nizhnekamsk district — this is our pride and support. Among you are participants in the battles, home front workers. Your feat is an example of courage, dedication and love for the Motherland. We are proud of your contribution to the Victory and commit ourselves to cherish the memory of those who defended freedom and peace for future generations”, Midhat Shagiakhmetov addressed the veterans.

The festive program was continued by a costumed procession of the district's collectives and a concert with the participation of children's creative groups. The festive marathon will last until the evening, where fireworks will be the final point.
