The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the economy of Tatarstan amounted to 24.3% by the end of 2025. This was announced today by Prime Minister of the Republic Alexey Pesoshin at the XX meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the seventh convocation.
Measures to support this sector through concessional lending, assistance from guaranteeing and leasing organizations, as well as the use of non-financial support measures have increased turnover and tax revenues, the proportion of employees and the number of enterprises in priority sectors.
In the main report on the results of the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Prime Minister spoke about the main indicators of the socio-economic development of the republic in 2025, including the gross regional product (GRP), which reached 5 trillion 730 billion rubles. With the volume of shipped products exceeding 6 trillion rubles, the industrial production index was 109.9%. The main contribution was provided by manufacturing industries. the results of the socio-economic development of Tatarstan in 2025.
Investments in fixed assets exceeded 1.6 trillion rubles, almost half of which were directed to the development of manufacturing industries.
The contribution to the GRP of the republic's special economic zones (SEZs) amounted to 9.3%, almost a quarter of which is occupied by industrial production. A total of 2,119 residents operate on the territory of the republican SEZ.
In 2025, the SEZ attracted 18 new residents, invested 300 billion rubles, and created over 12,000 jobs.
“The available resources were concentrated on priority areas of socio-economic development of the republic. As a result, despite the most difficult situation, the positive dynamics in the economy remained," the Prime Minister noted.
It was also noted that Tatarstan retains a leading position among the regions of the Russian Federation in terms of gross regional product (6th place), investments in fixed assets (5th place), industrial production and agriculture (4th place) and construction (2nd place).
